Not every yacht purchase requires the same level of scrutiny. An older boat costing around €80,000 requires a different economic assessment than a €400,000 yacht. With Basic, Pro and Premium, you can choose the scope of the inspection to suit the purchase price and risk – from a compact reality check to comprehensive technical purchase protection
This depends above all on the purchase price, length, age, technical condition and desired insurance. The Yacht Check Basic is often sufficient for an initial assessment or a cheaper boat. For most serious yacht purchases, we recommend the Pro Survey, because the test drive and moisture measurement are already sensibly integrated. For larger, technically complex or higher-priced yachts, the Premium Survey is usually the better choice, as full-grid moisture measurement, corrosion check and thermography are already included.
No. The basic check is deliberately designed as a limited scope survey. It concentrates on safety, seaworthiness and recognizable major defects. It is useful if you want an initial independent assessment. If you require a full technical purchase inspection with a comprehensive report, test drive and moisture measurement, the Pro Survey is the better choice.
As soon as the test drive and moisture measurement are important for your purchase decision, the Pro Survey usually makes more economic sense. Basic can be extended with additional services, but Basic plus test drive and full-grid moisture measurement is often priced close to or above the Pro Survey. Pro then offers the better overall scope.
Premium is particularly worthwhile for larger yachts, higher purchase prices, complex technology, unknown maintenance history, charter history or if you want maximum negotiating security. If full-grid moisture measurement, corrosion check and thermography are useful, Premium is usually cheaper and more complete than Pro with additional tests booked separately.
No, such external costs are not normally included in the survey fee. Crane, mooring, cleaning of the underwater hull, marina fees, skipper, fuel, external mechanics or laboratory services are charged separately by the respective service provider or shown separately in the offer.

In Croatia, our main areas of operation are the regions of Istria, Kvarner Bay and northern Dalmatia. In southern Dalmatia and Dubrovnik we carry out surveys on request.
In Slovenia, our area of operation covers the coastal region from Portoroz in the south to Koper in the north. We carry out surveys in the inland regions on request.
In Italy, our area of operation includes the coastal regions of Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Veneto. In the regions of Emilia-Romagna, Liguria and Tuscany, we carry out appraisals on request.
